On January 24 and 25, 2026, the 14th Riverside Lunar New Year Festival was grandly held in the iconic Mission Inn district, one of Riverside’s most well-known cultural and historic landmarks. The two-day celebration brought together community members, families, and visitors from across Southern California to welcome the Year of the Horse in a festive and vibrant atmosphere.AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch proudly participated in this large-scale community event, with a total of 19 members volunteering over the two days. Among them, seven volunteers served as event Masters of Ceremony, providing professional hosting services throughout the festival. Dressed in elegant formal attire, the student MCs demonstrated confidence, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills, successfully guiding the audience through performances, ceremonies, and key moments of the event. Despite the long event hours, they maintained a positive attitude and high level of professionalism, earning recognition from organizers and attendees alike.In addition to MC services, other AYLUS RC Branch volunteers actively contributed to various essential support roles. These included assisting with stage setup, event site preparation, logistics coordination, and the dismantling and cleanup of equipment at the conclusion of each day. Many of these tasks involved significant physical labor, and volunteers worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure the event ran smoothly from start to finish.Since its inception, the Riverside Lunar New Year Festival has grown into the largest Chinese cultural celebration in Southern California. It has become a cherished local tradition that showcases the richness and diversity of Asian culture. Recognized by the California Tourism Authority as a “must-see cultural experience,” this year’s festival attracted over 100,000 community members and visitors. Through their dedicated service, AYLUS RC Branch volunteers once again demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement, cultural celebration, and youth leadership.
