On January 24th, 2026, our members volunteered at tech support in the Fellowship Village Senior Living Center (8000 Fellowship Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920). Volunteers helped seniors to show notifications on the phone app, access the flashlight, and clear up storage. Another senior had problems with removing touch ID, and deleting call history. In addition, a volunteer helped one customer manage and delete call histories, sort and delete photos, and notification settings for favorites callers. The volunteer helped to write down steps for future reference and had her try it herself. The volunteer also helped another customer with call and voicemail notification settings, gave guidance on how to go to home screens and methods to use the internet to solve other questions. There was also a senior who needed help with turning on and off do not disturb mode.
Today, through the volunteers careful care and guidance, seniors became more comfortable with using technology, and started to gain interest compared to hopelessness when approaching new challenges.
