On January 10th, 2026, eight AYLUS Frisco & Plano branch members took time out of their weekends to participate in a volunteer packing session at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). AYLUS volunteers joined other community helpers in a brief orientation led by FMSC staff members on the general packing guidelines and procedures. Each volunteer made sure to wear a hairnet and thoroughly wash their hands as to prevent any potential cross-contamination. During the packing process, each individual was assigned a task, serving as either an ingredients scooper, bag opener, weigher, or sealer. Volunteers had the opportunity to interact with new people and participate in various challenges and activities with their team, as to make the volunteer session more engaging. Overall, AYLUS members helped to pack over 120 boxes, or the equivalent of around 27,000 meals to send to countries in need of humanitarian aid and food. Thank you to all participants in this week’s event!
