The establishment of the AYLUS San Ramon branch aims to expand opportunities for students to give back to their community while developing crucial skills such as responsibility, empathy and leadership. It will serve as a platform for students who are passionate about service and want to make a meaningful difference through volunteering efforts. The club will make everyone feel welcome by emphasizing student leadership, allowing members to take initiative, propose ideas, and play an active role in shaping the club’s direction. Members of this branch will participate in a variety of service projects. 

To dig deeper, here are some projects we would like to work on. One of the main efforts would be environmental cleanups. San Ramon is a city filled with beautiful parks and trails but these places are often left littered due to the carelessness of people. Organizing clean-ups would help keep our community clean and even raise awareness in the rest of our community. We would also like to volunteer at senior centers and take initiative to make the seniors of our community feel more seen. In order to do so we will organize card-making and letter writing activities for club members to participate in. Later, members will hand out their hand made cards and letters at senior centers. Another idea would be handing out baked goods such as cookies and brownies at senior centers. All these activities will encourage students to take initiative and give back to their community. 

Additionally we plan on collaborating with the California Scholarship Federation which is the largest club on our school’s campus and will bring a lot of exposure to the AYLUS San Ramon branch inviting many volunteers to join us. Overall, the AYLUS San Ramon will support and contribute heavily to AYLUS mission of promoting leadership, integrity and innovation.
