AYLUS Great Neck Branch holds AAPI Event at the Main Library 40th (1/3/25)

On Saturday January 3rd, the AYLUS Great Neck Branch held their 40th AAPI event at the Great Neck Main Library. The event started off with volunteers reading books to the kids. Ryder read “Ten Little Dumplings,” Rebecca read “Tricky Chopsticks,” and Nathan read “In The Leaves”. Afterwards crafts and activities were provided for the children who attended the event. Jolynn and Ryder helped children make cacti and octopuses with clay. Rainie and Victoria taught students crochet including creating chains. Andrew, Jiangyuan and Amber showed and helped students on how to make a duck with origami paper. The event was an enjoyable event for participants and volunteers alike.
