On November 22, 2025 we arrived 10 minutes before 7 PM, making sure to get there early to not miss any instruction or preparation. When we arrived, we removed our jewelry and put on hairnets to protect food from being contaminated. Then we introduced ourselves to each other and watched the instruction videos on how to pack the manna rice for kids in Guatemala. Each packet consisted of a special formula with one scoop of vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice.
Then we proceeded to wash our hands and suit up. We were then assigned to Table 3 and divided up to two scoopers for the four boxes (vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice), two baggers, one weigher (to make sure the manna rice fell between 375-395g), one sealer, two baggers. The work was tedious and required a good attitude and endurance. However, we continued packing, competing in several competitions and packed 66 boxes of mannarice.
Thanks to all the volunteers for taking time out of their Saturday night and helping 39 children in Guatemala!
