AYLUS Great Neck Branch holds AAPI event at the Main library 39th (12/20/25)

On Saturday December 20th, the AYLUS Great Neck Branch held their 39th AAPI event at the Great Neck Main Library. The event started off with volunteers reading books to the kids. Jiangyuan read “The Tiger Prince,” Christina read “At the Beach,” and Catherine read “Built To Last”. Afterwards crafts and activities were provided for the children who attended the event. Since it was nearing the holiday season, Catherine accompanied the children in creating candy cane clay and Christmas tree sculptures. Rainie and Victoria helped teach beginner students how to crochet chains. Rebecca and Christina supported children in creating paper plate animals including sheep, unicorns, pandas, and owls while Andrew and Jiangyuan folded origami animals with them. Overall, the event was fun and enjoyable for both the participants and the volunteers. We wish that everyone has a fun holiday break!
