Several RCA members and friends recently performed a Christmas concert at a local senior care home. Prior to the performance, the students carefully prepared the piano to ensure it was in optimal playing condition and distributed concert programs to the residents. The performers were introduced by their hosts who included information about the performer’s background and the piece to help connect the players to the audience and music a bit better. The concert featured a diverse repertoire ranging from contemporary selections to works from the Classical, and Romantic eras, along with a vocal performance that added a special festive touch. It was truly heartwarming to see the joy reflected on the faces of the seniors, the performers, and their families. After the concert, the students stayed to engage with the residents, answering questions and sharing conversations. The experience was deeply meaningful for everyone involved, and the members felt honored to share the gift of music with the community. The group looks forward to continuing their concert series throughout 2026.
