Event 101: Aylus Morris Branch Participates in New Jersey Community FoodBank “Students Change Hunger” Event in January 2026

On January 2, 2026, the Aylus Morris Branch proudly participated in the New Jersey Community FoodBank’s annual Students Change Hunger initiative, a statewide effort that empowers students to take action against food insecurity. Through this meaningful community service project, branch members worked together to collect and donate food items to support families in need across New Jersey.

As part of the event, the Aylus Morris Branch successfully collected a total of 55 pounds of dry and canned food from the local community. The donated items included non-perishable staples that will help provide nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Members carefully organized and prepared the donations to ensure they met the food bank’s guidelines.

The collected food was delivered to the New Jersey Community FoodBank on January 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM. This contribution will directly support the food bank’s ongoing distribution efforts and help address hunger during the winter months, when demand for food assistance is especially high.

Participation in the Students Change Hunger event reflects the Aylus Morris Branch’s continued commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement. By working collaboratively and taking responsibility for social impact, members demonstrated compassion and civic awareness while making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

This initiative marks a strong start to the new year and reinforces the branch’s mission to serve the community through meaningful action. The Aylus Morris Branch looks forward to continuing its partnership with local and statewide organizations to support hunger relief efforts and inspire positive change throughout 2026.
