AYLUS Roslyn volunteers at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County’s Bayville Location (29th) on December 21st, 2025

On Sunday, December 21st, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, AYLUS Roslyn members went to visit the CP Nassau residents at their Bayville location for the last time of 2025!

Volunteers started their days off greeting residents and playing games with them. Our first activity with the residents was bowling which allowed all residents to engage and have lots of fun. Each resident was excited to play 2-3 times and when it wasn’t their turn, they sat on the sides watching their friends and cheering them on. We then had some fun playing Connect Four where a few of us got chosen to “battle” against them. Even though they were going against so many people, and playing against them was a difficult challenge, they all managed to win which made them all smile.

After lots of fun, the DJ had finally arrived to celebrate one of the residents birthdays! The DJ set up his equipment, and from there, it was all singing! The residents, staff, and volunteers all had a great time with each other as they sang and danced along with the songs. After a while, the residents started getting hungry so we fed them some cake before lunch time. When they were done eating, volunteers helped wheel them into the lunch room and wished them happy holidays and a fantastic new year! We are so sad to see this year pass, but cannot wait for the next year to come so that we can see them again!
