AYLUS Newtown and UnitedWay Event

On Saturday December 13, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M., the Newtown Branch aided with organization of products within the UnitedWay Shelter.

As volunteers of the event, we helped the shelter organize donated products ranging from clothes, accessories to simple items in order to alleviate the burdens of distributing the items to those in an unfortunate time of need. We met a nice lady who was the director of the shelter. She told us a story about a family who struggled to make ends meet and how they used this program to get back on their feet and eventually opened up a business to sustain themselves.

As we were uplifted and motivated, we truly learned how our efforts could impact many lives for the better. For 2 hours, we worked on moving boxes and organizing items in order to eventually influence a story of our own.

Regarding information about UnitedWay, they are an organization who specializes in helping people in need as they provide basic necessities for free in order to help them get back on track with life.

Participating members included Chris Louie (Group Leader), Randall Zhang, Eric Chen, Ryan He, Ryan Yuan, Lawrence Fang. Each contributed 2 hours.
