On Saturday, December 13th, from 3:45 – 5:15, members from the Great Neck AYLUS branch hosted an event for kids at the Great Neck Main Library. Activities that occurred during this event consisted of reading and arts & crafts, such as crochet, building with clay, and folding stars and plates. Three books including “Roar-Choo!” , “100 Days: A Story of Sisterhood”, and “The Name Jar” were read by the volunteers Jolynn, Nathan, and Jiangyuan. After reading, Victoria taught the kids crocheting and Andrew and Catherine and Jiangyuan helped out at the arts & crafts. Jolynn assisted the kids with modeling playing clay to create cute snowmen. Nathan helped and assisted kids when they met trouble while doing arts & crafts. Everyone had fun and had a great time. We thank those who attended and look forward to the next event!
