On Saturday, December 6th, from 3:45 – 5:00 PM, members of the Great Neck AYLUS branch hosted the AAPI event for kids at the Great Neck Main Library. Kids were able to craft clay snowmen, learn crochet, and craft origami after listening to stories read by our volunteers Rebecca, Brian, and Jiangyuan. Then, Andrew, Jaden, and Nathan helped out with crafting origami, while Victoria taught kids how to make crochet. This event was successful as everyone who participated got a chance to try something new and learn new skills such as crochet.
