On December 11, 2025, volunteer members of Aylus gathered at the Great Neck Station Library for their bi-weekly tutoring session. The evening was very productive; the tutors and tutees worked cohesively to make the most of the hour. A plethora of subjects were covered including math, English, and American history. For instance, Ivy helped a sixth grader with French vocabulary and grammar. They also collaborated to cover a number of math topics, such as decimals and percentages. Brian Zhang helped his tutee with science, specifically biology. Furthermore, the two analyzed various parts of the American constitution and the amendments. Linzi helped a fifth grader complete their English homework. The pair read through passages and answered short response questions and fill-in-the-blanks to enhance reading comprehension. Lastly, Elaine worked with a 4th grader to solve factoring problems and math riddles. Overall the session was a major success thanks to the efforts of volunteers and students.
