Event 96: Spreading Holiday Cheer: AYLUS Morris Branch Partners with GRACE in December 2025

The AYLUS Morris Branch proudly partnered with GRACE (Giving and Receiving Assistance for our Community’s Essentials) to support their holiday outreach efforts through a meaningful community service project. In the weeks leading up to December 11, members organized a local collection drive, encouraging families and neighbors across the community to contribute small treats and festive items for children and families in need. The response was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the community’s generosity and the dedication of AYLUS volunteers. After gathering all donated items, members came together for a packing event where they carefully assembled and wrapped 200 cheerful candy gift bags. Each bag was thoughtfully prepared with colorful wrapping, assorted candies to brighten someone’s season. Volunteers worked collaboratively, ensuring that every gift bag was neatly packaged and filled with warmth and care. On December 11 morning, the team delivered all 200 candy bags to GRACE, where staff and coordinators expressed deep appreciation for the support. These gift bags are expected to be distributed to families participating in GRACE’s holiday programs, helping bring joy to children who might otherwise go without small festive treats during this time of year. Through this project, AYLUS Morris Branch not only strengthened its partnership with GRACE (Giving and Receiving Assistance for our Community’s Essentials) but also reinforced its mission to empower youth to make a positive impact in their communities. The initiative showcased leadership, teamwork, and compassion—core values that guide the organization’s commitment to service. By uniting local support and dedicating their time to thoughtful preparation, the volunteers helped create a brighter and more joyful holiday experience for families in need. This meaningful collaboration highlighted how even small gestures, such as a candy-filled gift bag, can deliver kindness, hope, and holiday spirit throughout the community.
