On December 1 2025 members of AYLUS Greater Buffalo Branch volunteered to donate winter clothing and essential household supplies to Journeys End Refugee services. After moving all boxes to the center on fifth floor, the program coordinator guided the volunteers on a tour of the service center and introduced the various services they provide for refugees. Both sides also exchanged introductions of the new AYLUS Volunteer team members and Journey’s End Refugee Services staff members, they also discussed future collaboration plans. The staff highly praised the support AYLUS volunteers have provided over the years. This event lasted from 3:00PM to 5:30PM.
After the last movie night event, the children carefully sorted and packed the clothes donated by everyone. Using the $315 raised, they purchased all the necessary items for refugee children, as listed by the local refugee organization Journey’s End. Today, with the help of several parents, the children transported the items to donate to Journey’s End, where they were warmly received. We provided much-needed assistance during a time of hardship. This event, which began preparations in late October, has now come to a successful conclusion. The children experienced the joy of serving their community and helping others during this process.
