Today, members of AYLUS participated in the second day of the Lights and Ice Event at Firefighters Park, contributing their time and energy to assist the Great Neck community. Volunteers arrived to assist with various activities and improve the overall experience for visitors. Their presence helped ensure the event ran smoothly and safely so families could enjoy the winter-themed activities.
One of the primary activities for volunteers was supporting the farmers market section of the event. Here, they helped manage the booth selling handmade crochets, greeting customers, and handling sales.
In addition to the market, many volunteers also assisted with supervising the bouncy houses. They guided children safely in and out, enforced rules, and monitored activity to maintain a fun and safe environment. Thanks to their attentiveness and sense of responsibility, the bouncy houses remained a key highlight for families and children, and the event as a whole benefited greatly from the members of AYLUS.
