Throughout November, AYLUS San Clemente members have donated the recyclable bottles from their homes to local recycling centers. The glass, plastic, or aluminum bottles are put in trash bags and volunteers go to any local recycling center to sort the bottles by material at the recycling center and receive money in return. A total of $74.44 is being saved to be donated to the nearest Nature Reserve. This means our members are helping our planet by preventing plastic and other harmful materials from entering landfills and allowing plastic to be recycled and used for a better purpose, including financial support for the protection of the local environment. Thank you to all 11 members who participated!
