City and Neighbor Support: AYLUS Pearland Volunteered at the Annual Pearland Turkey Trot on November 27, 2025

The day before race day, AYLUS Pearland volunteers assisted with packet pick-up to help prepare for the Annual Pearland Turkey Trot.

Despite the early chill, volunteers gathered near Independence Park on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025, to support the event.

At the start of the morning, volunteers set up the medal stand, prepared water stations by filling paper cups, and arranged fruits and snacks on the refreshment tables. During the race, AYLUS members at Independence Park distributed various food items to participants. Meanwhile, volunteers stationed along the route handed out water to runners as they passed and offered cheers and encouragement to keep them motivated. At the end of the event, AYLUS volunteers helped distribute awards to participants who placed in their race categories.

AYLUS Pearland also partnered with Project Clarity at their community outreach booth. Volunteers shared a hands-on air-quality experiment, demonstrating how AirGradient devices detect particles in the air. Community members learned how tiny pollutants enter our lungs and why clean air is vital for everyone.

Throughout the event, AYLUS members were grateful for the opportunity to support the Pearland Turkey Trot and its participants on this Thanksgiving morning.
