AYLUS Roslyn Participates in Island Harvest Food Bank (6th) on November 23rd, 2025

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm AYLUS volunteers worked with Island Harvest to host a food drive to help collect food to feed families for this upcoming Thanksgiving! Volunteers met up at ShopRite and worked together, handing out fliers and encouraging many families to donate food and money for the food drive. We were glad to be able to help out families before this big holiday!

We started our day off helping out any way possible like setting up the tables for the donated goods, organizing bags to put the foods in, and greeting local customers, encouraging them to help. We spent time passing fliers with checklists with foods to people who were interested in donating. After many generous people had donated, we helped pack the food into cars for them to be brought back to the food shelter.

To end the day, we finished passing out fliers and finished packing away the generous donations. Before leaving, volunteers were thanked many times for all of the time spent helping out. Overall, this was an amazing experience and we look forward to another volunteering opportunity like this!
