Greater Triangle Branch volunteers at the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner event at the homeless shelter on 11-27-2025

On Thanksgiving Day, our volunteers went to the Durham Rescue Mission (DRM) to attend a special event. DRM was founded in 1974. Its goal is to mend shattered lives by restoring families and giving hope in the local area. They have hosted special events for years. Today, our volunteers are honored to register for their Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner.

Volunteers prepared roughly 1,500 delivery meals. Our volunteers were responsible for serving the food and drink, as well as cleaning the dishes left on the table. They also helped to pick up the garbage on the floor to maintain a clean environment for new arrivals. After two and a half hours of on-site preparation and service, they finished the day’s volunteer task by tidying tables and chairs perfectly.

Our volunteers are delighted to have had the opportunity to spread hope and joy to those in need within our community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
