On Saturday, 11/1/2025, members of the Newtown AYLUS Branch volunteered at the Bucks County Free Library – Levittown Branch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The library is a vital resource for the community, offering access to books, educational resources, and opportunities for personal growth. During this session, volunteers focused exclusively on reshelving the library’s book collection.
Volunteers worked diligently to return books to their proper places and performed shelf reading to ensure all materials were in the correct order. This effort greatly enhanced the organization of the library, making it easier for patrons to locate the books they needed and improving the overall browsing experience. A well-organized library allows visitors to quickly find resources, promoting a more efficient and enjoyable library visit for everyone.
By performing these organizational tasks, the volunteers contributed to a smoother operation of the library, helping staff focus on assisting patrons and running programs. Their work ensured that the library remained an accessible, welcoming space for the entire community.
Members who participated were David Soong (event leader, 2 hrs) and Edward Soong (2 hrs).
