This week’s volunteering session took place at SUNY Old Westbury, where AYLUS members assisted at the Chinese school’s weekend program. The atmosphere was lively and productive as students and volunteers worked together to support classroom activities and cultural lessons.
Volunteers helped teachers organize materials, manage student participation, and guide younger children through their classwork. Several members also assisted in cleanup and setup tasks between sessions to ensure that the classrooms stayed neat and ready for the next group. The event ran smoothly from start to finish, with excellent teamwork and consistent focus from all participants.
Overall, the session was well-organized and demonstrated strong collaboration among volunteers. Everyone contributed to creating a positive learning environment for the students.
