Event 91: AYLUS Morris Branch Partners with the United Methodist Church to Share Holiday Joy in November 2025

The AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with the local United Methodist Church to bring holiday cheer to families in need through a community candy drive. In the weeks leading up to November 9, members dedicated significant effort to collecting candy donations from friends, neighbors, and local families. They designed digital flyers, spread the word through social media and word of mouth, and even went door to door in their neighborhoods to encourage participation. Their enthusiasm and persistence paid off—together, they collected an impressive 41 pounds of candy.

After gathering the donations, members spent hours sorting, counting, and organizing the candy before carefully wrapping it into 140 colorful gift bags. Each bag was thoughtfully prepared with attention to detail, aiming to bring smiles to children and families during the holiday season.

On November 9th at 2:00 p.m., AYLUS Morris Branch members delivered all 140 candy bags to the church’s distribution center. The donations were then shared with local families, helping to spread kindness and happiness throughout the community. The project reflected the branch’s ongoing commitment to service and compassion, emphasizing how small acts of giving can bring people together.

This collaboration with the United Methodist Church provided AYLUS members with a meaningful opportunity to connect with their community and practice leadership through service. From organizing collections to wrapping candy and coordinating delivery, members worked as a team to ensure the project’s success. Through this initiative, the AYLUS Morris Branch continued to uphold its mission of youth-led community impact—spreading warmth, generosity, and holiday cheer to those who need it most.
