AYLUS Basking Ridge held its weekly iPad Club at Fellowship Village on November 1, 2025, where members assisted seniors with questions such as how to use the search bar to find apps and how to delete messages in the Messages app. They also helped seniors troubleshoot issues related to non-functioning keys and taught them how to turn off the fast startup feature.
This session had a positive impact on the seniors, helping them become more confident and self-sufficient in using their devices. The personalized, patient guidance provided by AYLUS members allowed participants to overcome small but frustrating technical challenges that often hindered their daily device use. As a result, many seniors felt more comfortable exploring and customizing their iPads independently. The program also gave volunteers an opportunity to develop communication and teaching skills while building meaningful relationships with the residents. Overall, the iPad Club continues to strengthen digital literacy and intergenerational connection within the Fellowship Village community.
