AYLUS Roslyn supports CPNassau 5K Fundraiser Walk for Individuals with Disabilities (3rd) on November 2nd, 2024

On November 2nd, 2025, members of the Roslyn AYLUS branch volunteered at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County’s annual 5K fundraiser, which took place from 8:00 to 10:30 A.M. This yearly event helps fund CPNassau’s various programs, including their adult day program, schools, and equipment services. For over 75 years, CPNassau has focused on improving the lives of children and adults with movement and speech disabilities.

Cerebral palsy affects a person’s ability to move and communicate. Our main goal in participating in this event was to support and encourage all the runners, walkers, and families involved in the fundraiser. We cheered for participants along the course—from the starting line to the finish line—and handed out water bottles, medals, and apples to those who finished.

This experience was both meaningful and rewarding for us. While our branch often volunteers at CPNassau’s residential homes, this fundraiser provided another special way to contribute to the organization’s mission. We are always thankful for the chance to support them and look forward to joining future events!
