Activity & Impact
On October 12, 2025, nine members of the AYLUS North Hollywood branch volunteered at CicLAvia: Heart of LA from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM near Grand Central Market. CicLAvia is a community festival which encourages walking, biking, skating, and public engagement. This year’s event celebrated CicLAvia’s 15th birthday and featured a 7.15-mile open route through Westlake, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, the Arts District, Downtown Los Angeles, and Boyle Heights.
Throughout the event, AYLUS members assisted with wayfinding, monitored slow and dismount zones, and helped manage participant traffic at vehicle crossing points. Volunteers also provided route information, activity details, and guidance.
In addition, AYLUS North Hollywood set up an information booth advertising the organization. Members handed out flyers, hosted games, and answered questions to draw interest to the organization.
