On Monday, Nov. 3rd, from 17:30-19:00, Allison Shilagani, Ting Lan Chen, Jolynn Li and Catherine Tao, joined Accessible Art Program at Great Neck House.
We usually help students in special need learn how to do art crafts in this program. Today is also one girl’s 27 years old birthday, her name is called Joann. We celebrated her birthday together and made some little artworks and handmade gifts for her. We signed “happy birthday”, and made bracelets, gift cards— maybe they are not pretty, but they carry our wishes for her. Everyone sat around a table in a small room, with no pressure and only laughter. At the end, Joann’s wrist was covered with colorful bracelets, and she smiled sweetly. We are glad to provide kindness to these disabled people and all people in need. We hope Joann will have a happy 27th birthday and be surrounded by kind people from now on.
