On Saturday, 10/25/2025, members of the Newtown AYLUS Branch volunteered at the Bucks County Free Library – Levittown Branch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The library remains an essential part of the community, offering a space for learning, exploration, and connection among visitors of all ages. During this session, volunteers focused on reshelving books and organizing the children’s section to create a cleaner, more accessible environment for patrons.
Volunteers worked to return books to their appropriate places and conducted shelf reading to ensure that all titles were properly arranged and easy to locate. Their careful attention to organization helped patrons find materials more efficiently, promoting an enjoyable and stress-free library experience. In addition, volunteers helped clean and tidy the children’s area, preparing toys and play materials for young visitors. Maintaining this space not only encourages children to engage with the library’s resources but also supports parents and caregivers by providing a welcoming and orderly environment.
By completing these tasks, the volunteers helped lighten the workload for library staff and contributed to maintaining the library as an inviting hub for education and community growth. Their work ensured that the library remained a clean, well-organized, and enjoyable place for everyone.
Members who participated were David Soong (event leader, 2 hrs) and Edward Soong (2 hrs).
