Six AYLUS Basking Ridge members participated in Saturdays in Motion at the GSCY YMCA on 10/25/25. The new volunteer began with a brief orientation for first-time participants, while the others helped set up the gym rooms before the children arrived. During the session, each volunteer paired with a child with special needs, engaging in activities such as using gymnastics equipment, playing catch, running on the inflatable track, and more.
The event offered children a chance to be active, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive environment. At the same time, it strengthened connections between volunteers and participants, fostering a sense of community, encouragement, and inclusivity that can have a lasting positive impact on both the children and the volunteers.
