AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteers at Kings Point Park (49th) 10/26/25

On October 26th, AYLUS Great Neck branch volunteered at Kings point park to help smooth and clean trails at field 2. We only had a couple of people and everyone was working hard to help out. We’ve completed about 2/3 of a kilometer of the trails  due to the low number of helpers. We followed the directions of the staff and how to even out the trail so that the trails are nice and neat. This is important because we can keep the trails from becoming overwhelmed by the amount of leaves that were piling up due to the Fall season.

This project was a great experience for us, allowing us to help around our community and get closer to nature.  Not only that, it allows us to develop communication skills with people that we have never met before. Overall it was a great experience that allowed us to help out the community while experiencing the outdoors, we will continue to work hard to further help out this park and many others. As this is the mission of AYLUS, to serve our community through projects, also to provide help, convenience and care to the people and environment
