On October 26th, 2025, AYLUS Syosset held its 17th free community basketball activity at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park. The event brought together youth volunteers and local families to promote teamwork, leadership, and a healthy lifestyle through sports. Volunteers Gary (16), Rick (15), and Danny (13) led the training, while younger players, ages 6 to 12, participated in skill practice and friendly games. Most participants were from the Syosset area, representing a close-knit local community of students and families.
The event began at 9:00 AM with one hour of fundamental basketball training, including dribbling, passing, defense, and shooting drills. During this session, volunteers demonstrated techniques, corrected form, and encouraged younger players to build confidence on the court. From 10:00 to 11:00 AM, the group held scrimmage matches where kids over six years old with basic skills joined in short team games. Younger children who weren’t yet tall enough for the hoop played group activities and helped with light setup for a small family picnic afterwards.

Participants includes: Kexuan Chen(2hours), Ruiqi Su(2hoirs), Yixuan Chen(2hours)
