AYLUS Doylestown Volunteers at Doylestown Hospital on October 15, 2025

On October 15, 2025, several members of AYLUS Doylestown returned to Doylestown Hospital to volunteer and assist with daily operations. Our duties included helping transport materials, organizing visitor information, and providing directions to different units. By stepping in wherever help was needed, we helped the staff maintain a welcoming and organized environment.

This volunteer opportunity allowed us to interact with patients and hospital professionals, giving us a firsthand perspective on compassionate care. We learned how important communication and patience are in a healthcare setting, and how volunteers contribute to a calmer, more supportive atmosphere for everyone in the hospital.

Community involvement in hospitals shows how teamwork extends beyond medical professionals. When students volunteer their time, even small actions can ease the workload of those caring for others. Service like this builds empathy and encourages more young people to consider careers that help improve public health across the world.

Volunteers: (Eric Chen (Event Leader), and Aaron Temmer). Each volunteer contributed 3 hours.
