On October 23rd, the AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with GRACE (Giving and Receiving Assistance for Our Community’s Essentials) to bring the excitement of Halloween to children and families in need. The branch organized a Halloween costume donation drive, aiming to make the holiday more inclusive and joyful for underrepresented families who might otherwise miss out on the celebration.
Throughout the week, AYLUS members collected 15 Halloween costumes of various sizes and styles from community donors. Each costume represented not only festive fun but also the kindness and generosity of local families eager to help others celebrate the season. Volunteers then gathered to pack, label, and prepare the costumes for delivery, ensuring everything was clean, organized, and ready to distribute.
On the afternoon of October 23rd, members delivered the packed costumes to GRACE, where they were warmly received and immediately prepared for distribution to children in need. The drive helped ensure that local families could experience the joy and creativity of Halloween, regardless of financial circumstances.
This event reflected the AYLUS Morris Branch’s commitment to youth-led community service, compassion, and inclusivity. By partnering with GRACE, members had the opportunity to witness the direct impact of their efforts and the importance of giving back to their community.
Through this collaboration, the AYLUS Morris Branch continued its mission to spread kindness and make meaningful contributions to local families — proving that even a small act, like donating a Halloween costume, can bring happiness and connection to others.
