AYLUS Roslyn Volunteers at the JCC Stronger Than Cancer 5K (2nd) on October 19th, 2025

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, volunteers came together at the Sid Jacobson JCC 5K to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. The event united runners, families, and community members in support of those affected by breast cancer and promoted health, hope, and togetherness.

Early in the morning, the volunteer group helped with setup by moving tables, organizing drinks, and placing water bottles along the race route. Before the race began, everyone worked together to make sure the area was ready for participants. As the runners started, volunteers cheered them on, creating a positive and energetic atmosphere that encouraged people of all ages to participate for a good cause.

Throughout the event, volunteers distributed drinks and snacks, ensuring that runners’ families stayed hydrated. After the race, the team worked to clean up putting away tables, gathering leftover supplies, and restoring the space to its original condition.

Supporting the JCC 5K was a meaningful experience that demonstrated the power of teamwork and community spirit. The collaboration and shared commitment of everyone involved showed how collective effort can make a real difference in supporting an important cause.
