On Oct 19th at Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink, from 12:15-1:15pm, volunteers of AYLUS joined the Therapeutic Skating Program to make skating accessible to children & adults alike.
Volunteers were paired with skate students, giving them support and helping them on the ice. The volunteers ensured a fun and safe experience for the program participants.
During the time they had with each skater, the volunteers helped them to enjoy the ice, learn to skate/walk and have some good old fun on ice. Activities like this encourage the students to socialize and offer an opportunity to relax while learning something new.
