On October 19th, the AYLUS Great Neck branch participated in the ninth Great Neck Park District Farmers Market. Volunteers arrived at 9:30 to set up tables and prepare for the day. The event started at 10:00 am and ended at 2:00 pm with work being split into 2 shifts of 2 hours each. For both the shifts our volunteers ran tables with custom fan-making, face painting, and promoting our handmade products such as our crocheted plushies, keychains, handmade bags, bracelets, tapestry and more. This event we also continued to making balloon animals but we were not able to recreate our prior success. We encountered no issues throughout the Farmers Market successfully raised around 146 . All profits will be donated to Adventures in Learning, an organization that helps provide underprivileged students tutoring based out of JFK. We look forward to participate in the fall festival on October 26th.
