On Monday, August 1st, Syosset AYLUS visited the Sangha Learning Center, a non-profit organization that provides a safe space for individuals with high-functioning ADHD, autism, and OCD to come together and decompress. During this visit, we designed unique vases by first applying glue and then sticking nature-related items, such as leaves, flowers, and small twigs, onto them. After arranging the decorations, we sealed everything by applying a layer of glue over the top to secure the items in place. Later, members were able to stain their Cajun drums, adding personalized colors and designs. The day ended with everyone enjoying playing games together, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for all.
