On October 18th, Youth volunteers from the AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch gathered early Saturday morning at the ALFC Generosity Center for a meaningful day of community service. Arriving with enthusiasm and a shared desire to make a difference, most of the volunteers dedicated 5.5 hours—from 7:20 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.—to helping local families facing food insecurity.
The volunteers spent the morning packing canned goods, sorting fresh produce, and organizing
boxes of food that would later be distributed to families throughout the community. Working efficiently in assembly-line fashion, they carefully checked expiration dates, stacked boxes, and ensured every package was filled with nutritious items such as rice, vegetables, beans, and fruits. Each volunteer played an essential role in keeping the process smooth and productive.
“This kind of teamwork makes a real impact,” said one volunteer while labeling food boxes. “It feels great to know that what we’re doing today will directly help families in our area.” Their combined efforts resulted in hundreds of neatly packed food packages, each representing a small act of kindness that would make a big difference for someone in need.
Beyond the physical labor, the event also served as an opportunity for the youth to learn about community service and the importance of giving back. Many reflected on how easily they could take simple things—like access to food—for granted. By the end of the event, the volunteers left with tired hands but full hearts, knowing their work had a real and lasting impact.
The AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch continues to demonstrate what it means to serve with compassion. Through teamwork, dedication, and a genuine desire to help others, these young volunteers showed that even a few hours of effort can bring hope and nourishment to countless families in need.
