Nine AYLUS Basking Ridge members participated in Saturdays in Motion at the GSCY YMCA on 10/11/25. The new volunteer began the morning with a brief orientation, while the others helped set up the gym rooms before the children arrived. Once the session started, each volunteer paired up with a child with special needs, joining in activities like using the gymnastics equipment, playing catch, and running on the inflatable track. Laughter and cheers filled the room as the children and volunteers encouraged each other and celebrated small victories along the way.
The session provided more than just physical activity—it gave the children a chance to feel confident, included, and proud of what they could accomplish. Volunteers saw firsthand the joy of guiding and supporting each child, building trust and meaningful connections. By the end of the morning, everyone left with smiles, a sense of accomplishment, and the reminder that even simple moments of encouragement can make a lasting difference in a child’s life.
