The Bernards PEC Program runs every Saturday morning from 9–11 a.m. in September and October. Today, volunteers arrived early to help set up the games and greet the children with smiles and encouragement. During the session, they guided the kids through a ball-throwing game and a running-and-tagging game, celebrating every successful throw and every burst of laughter. Some children hesitated at first, but with gentle support and cheering from the volunteers, they joined in, their faces lighting up with pride and joy. Parents watched from the sidelines, clapping and thanking the volunteers for their patience and care.
The program offered more than just games—it created a space where children felt seen, supported, and empowered. Volunteers experienced the joy of helping a child take a small step forward, sharing in moments of triumph and laughter. The children left smiling, energized, and confident, while the volunteers carried home a deep sense of fulfillment, knowing they had made a meaningful difference in someone’s day. Together, they built connections, shared experiences, and created memories that extended far beyond the morning’s activities.
