On October 5th 2025, AYLUS great neck branch volunteered at Kings Point Park to help weeding on the baseball field at field 2. We had only a few people so everyone was working hard. We only completed ⅓ of the field because it’s our first time doing this job, we’ve been working on smoothing the path way for a long time. We listened to the direction of the staff and we learned how to weeding with shovels, how to gather the weeds together and get them onto the trolley. This is important because the baseball field is full of sand and the weed would destroy the appearance and the loose soil.
This project has been a great experience for us to get close to nature and communicate with each other while working. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors and contribute to the community at the same time. It also brings convenience to the beauty and safety of the park. We will continue to work hard on this project to make the paths in the park better. This is also the mission of AYLUS, to serve the community through practical projects and provide convenience, help and care to people.
