Syosset AYLUS Volunteers At LINPI 9/27/25

On September 27th, members of the Syosset AYLUS joined the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) to assist with their support for local environmental initiatives. This session marks the start of the fall routine, where our volunteers will separate seeds from mature plants to allow for a larger inventory of seeds. This process involves using a scraper, or hands to grind down thick plants to allow the seeds to fall out. We also assisted with up-potting plants again, moving mature plants that have outgrown their small pots, to larger pots that could help with their growth.

Attending members: Christine Huang (2hr), Mia Xu (2hr), Connie Chen (3hr), Yue Chan (2hr), Cheung Chan (2hr), Jayden Lam (3hr), Jacey Lam (3hr), Justyn Lam (3hr), Junhua (Alan) Zhang (3hr), Cynthia Chen (3hr), Christopher Chen (3hr), Alina Chen (3hr), Alicia Chen (3hr)
