On September 28 at 6:00 PM, members of the AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with Help4All to complete a community service project aimed at supporting vulnerable populations as the fall season begins. Through coordinated outreach and collaboration, the branch successfully collected 51 fall essentials, including blankets, sweatpants, and sweatshirts, which were later delivered to Help4All’s distribution center.
The project was designed with a focus on comfort, warmth, and preparedness. As temperatures begin to drop in the fall, many individuals and families in need face challenges accessing appropriate clothing and bedding. Recognizing this, AYLUS Morris members organized a targeted drive encouraging contributions of gently used and new essentials. By concentrating on practical items like blankets and warm clothing, the branch ensured the donations would have an immediate and meaningful impact.
To carry out the initiative, members promoted the drive through posters, conversations with neighbors and friends, and outreach at local community sites. Collection points were established to make donating convenient, and members worked together to gather, sort, and prepare all items for delivery. Each contribution represented a gesture of care, and collectively the donations will help many community members transition into the cooler season with greater comfort and security.
On September 28, the branch transported the 51 items to Help4All’s distributor, where staff expressed appreciation for the timely support. The supplies will soon be distributed to families and individuals in need, helping them begin the fall season with dignity and warmth.
This project reflects the AYLUS Morris Branch’s commitment to service and compassion. By anticipating seasonal needs and responding with practical solutions, members demonstrated how youth-led initiatives can bring care and comfort to the community.
