On September 28, 2025, AYLUS Syosset continued its weekly basketball series at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Park Basketball Court. The event ran from 9:00–11:00, starting with one hour of basic training for all ages, followed by a scrimmage for players six and older with prior experience.
High school volunteers including Gary (16), Rick (15), and Xuanling Wang (15) helped lead drills, coach games, and support younger players, while parents assisted in supervision. The activity encouraged teamwork, fitness, and confidence-building in a supportive community environment.
This event reflected AYLUS’s mission of fostering leadership and healthy lifestyles through volunteer-led community programs, while also providing service opportunities toward the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
