AYLUS Great Neck Branch holds AAPI event at Main Library33rd (9/20/25)

On Saturday, September 20th, from 3:45 – 5:00 PM, members of the Great Neck AYLUS branch hosted an event for kids at the Great Neck Main Library. The activities that were held at this event included story reading and arts & crafts such as origami, crochet, and building with clay. Stories were read by three volunteers, where Rebecca read “Dancing Dumplings for my One and Only”, Victoria read “Ten Little Dumplings”, and Ziqian read “Grandpa Across the Ocean”. After reading, Rainie and Victoria taught kids how to crochet and Andrew taught them how to make cranes and sharks out of origami paper. Rebecca and Nathan guided and assisted kids in making lucky stars. Jolynn taught the kids on making cakes out of clay while Ryder and Ziqian helped out the kids with crafts. We thank those who attended and look forward to the next event.
