AYLUS Frisco & Plano Branch Volunteering at FMSC 9/6/2025

Reported by Ryan Ma

On September 6, 2025, we volunteered at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a Christian nonprofit dedicated to ending world hunger. The event began at 7:15 PM.

During the session, we packed MannaPack Rice, which is specially designed to combat malnutrition and includes four essential components: vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice. Volunteers were assigned a variety of roles—labeling, packaging, sealing, and working in the warehouse—with clear instructions provided for each step. To keep the atmosphere lively, music played in the background and groups competed in fun challenges to see who could pack the most boxes. Our team worked together at Table 3.

After about an hour and 45 minutes of packing, we transitioned to cleanup. By the end of the evening, our collective efforts resulted in 97 boxes packed, which equates to 20,952 meals—enough to feed 57 children for an entire year.

It was both a meaningful and enjoyable experience, combining teamwork, service, and a shared commitment to fighting hunger.
