On Sunday September 21, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Syosset AYLUS volunteered with Roslyn to visit a CP Nassau Group Home at Bayville.
We started the day with Connect 4, which is always a favorite at the Bayville Center. The residents really enjoyed playing the giant Connect 4, and some volunteers helped guide their hands if they needed it.
Next, we set up a small bowling game. The residents rolled the ball down a slope, and since we’ve played this game with them many times, they were already really good at it. Some even played a few extra rounds because they were having so much fun. After bowling, everyone started to get a little tired, so we took them outside to relax and enjoy the sunshine. It was the first time we had gone outside with them, which made it even more special.
Finally, we played games on the Wii. The residents love Jeopardy, so we helped them choose answers and ended up winning a lot of money in the game. After that, we still had some time, so we switched to Wii Sports and helped guide their hands while they played. We all had an amazing time with the residents and can’t wait to come back!
