On September 20th, 6 AYLUS volunteers set up their stand. The leaders first introduced themselves to the volunteers and got accustomed with everyone’s names. Then they split them into roles: making cotton candy, making shaved ice, being cashier, or advertising (ice-cold water was sold as well, and one person bought 5 bottles at once, selling out the stock)! The advertising team stood at the entrance, went around the playground, the volleyball and basketball courts, and the pavilion near the lake while carrying around a sample to show an example of how our cotton candy looks. Although starting off, not many people came—suddenly people started flocking due to the work of the advertising team. The event started at 6:00 PM and ended at 8:00 PM. Even with a relatively small team, they were able to do their best and contribute to raising funds for the Plano Children’s Medical Center! Good job, volunteers!
