On September 20th, members of the Syosset AYLUS joined the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) to assist with their support for local environmental initiatives. This session marks the start of the fall routine, where our volunteers will separate seeds from mature plants to allow for a larger inventory of seeds. This process involves using a scraper, or hands to grind down thick plants to allow the seeds to fall out.
